Kathryn began in her teens working with incarcerated youths in a juvenile court school setting, Sacramento County Juvenile Hall, California Boys Ranch and California Youth Authority. She volunteered with California Parole Officers and local police departments. She began working in higher education as an Admissions and Financial Aid Advisor, leaving as the Acting Director of Admissions at National University in California. This is where she received her Bachelors in Behavioral Science. She volunteered with Volunteers in Parole and Citizen’s Initiative Project, which were Big Brother, Big Sisters programs with incarcerated youths.
After moving across the nation to Tennessee, Kathryn was nominated to the Planning Commission in Mt. Juliet for three years and was involved in the Planning and Development of Del Web Community and Providence Marketplace and many other businesses and planned communities. Kathryn took courses in Tennessee Land Law and Stormwater. In the last few years, Kathryn graduated with her Masters of Arts in Conflict Resolution and Mediation at Bethel University in Tennessee. She completed her coursework in Rule 31 Mediation for Family and Domestic Violence and General Civil. She was listed through the Tennessee Supreme Court as a Rule 31 trained Mediator. She volunteered with Nashville Conflict Resolution Center for over a year in General Civil Cases. She also volunteered and was asked to serve on the board of Healing Broken Vessels located in Lebanon, Tennessee. She served as a speaker, fundraiser, mediator and life coach at Healing Broken Vessels. Kathy is here for our program as a women's advocate and will help navigate clients to the best marriage counseling within the company.
She is a published poet and most recently published her first children’s book, Home Once More, with husband of almost 30 years, John. Her 18 year old son, Christopher is a senior in college.
